Description

After years of facing supervillains, monsters, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois are concerned with whether or not their sons Jonathan and Jordan could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Clark’s first love, Lana Lang, and her husband Kyle. Of course, there’s never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment’s notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger enters their lives.

The CW seems to be turning it around with this DC show. Superman & Lois truly feels like the continuation of Donner’s Superman. This version of Superman and Lois is dramatically better then how they were portrayed on Supergirl. If you’re on the fence about this show, definitely watch the pilot before you make up your mind.

Most of the superman stuff that’s come out in recent years has been pretty blah. I’m not a very big DC comics fan. This TV series changes superman in a very good way. The production values very high. The musical score supports the action and drama in a significant way. Interesting story lines and likable characters, three episodes in but very promising.

Hands down... the best show I have seen on TV in 15 years! You may think I am a little biased because I love Superman but that is what forced me to watch in the first place. After watching the first 3 episodes I have to admit that I love their new modern take on the character. Without giving spoilers, all I can say is the story and characters works perfectly and they are very relatable. CW is doing an incredible job with the story. More importantly, they have taken a step away from the political propaganda that plagued Supergirl for so many years (and in my opinion destroyed the show). What I love most is they are very respectful to the Superman character and they are following in the footsteps of the Christopher Reeve version that most of us have grown up with. This is a MUST WATCH! Let's hope they keep up the great work on the show and give us at least 4 more seasons.
  • Interesting adaption of the Man of Steel!

I wasn’t expecting much from Superman & Lois, but after watching the first two episodes and seeing how good it turned out to be I am on board with what this show has to offer, and am looking forward to future episodes. Some of the effects with the laser vision seemed a little off at first glance, but it doesn’t compromise the experience. Most of the other effects looked really cool, especially when Superman takes flight, and some of the cinematography is great. The idea of Clark Kent balancing a life of marriage, parenthood, and being Superman is an interesting new take on the character. I’m happy the show is not another origin story that I thought it would be. I’m curious to see where the show will go with Jordan & Jonathan. As a Superman fan this show stays faithful to the character and the lore of Superman. Great show!

I am a huge Superman fan and I love this version of Superman as it portrays the depth of the characters in a new way. After two episodes I am hooked. I really hope the quality of the story arc, characters, and superhero action continue for seasons to come.

This is outright the best Superman movie or show in a long time. This is on par with man of steel. But every week. On a show. Amazing.
  • Ignore the hateful Marvel fanboys!

As a DC fan and Superman fan for over 40 years, the pilot did not disappoint. A new and different take on Superman but it works! It’s nice to see the human/Dad/husband side of Superman and how he struggles with fatherhood while still being the mighty hero we all know and love. Also love Lois who’s the ultimate investigative journalist and supermom (no pun intended). The only ones who are dogging the show are the ones who are comparing it to Marvel and Wandavision. 🙄. Pay no attention to those little fanboys.

Speaking as a die hard Superman fan since I was in 1st grade (way long time ago), I like how in the beginning they showed the original "S" on his suit to pay homage to Martha making it and the first series, not a fan of the new 52 suit, I think it should be traditional appearance, this one is too mixed.. Not a fan at all of the motivation to bring them home to Samllville, just sayin... The story is unique, interesting even the way they tie in some of the crossovers, but, I think there is still many things that I am not sure will stay the course. Curious to see how they develop it further, but I do really like the different spin, I just hope it doesn't stay on the path that it seems to be going on now in becoming another Smallville extension... Been there, done that. Just because there are "kids" and it is already tieing in to "luck" showing up for the family every time there is an "accident", doesn't mean it has to be the same all over again. Feels very "wall of wierd" again with just different characters.
